This work introduces a taxonomy for automation in MRI, adapted from vehicle automation standards. It defines autonomy levels, clarifying roles for humans and machines. The framework helps benchmark technology, guides clinical integration, and highlights challenges like system interoperability and legal responsibility as automation increases.
